The Story

It’s New Years Eve at the DeBubbles Champagne Vineyards and Distillery in Champagne, France. The DeBubbles mansion is always the place to be at the stroke of midnight - the champagne flows as easily as the conversation. That is, until patriarch of the DeBubbles family fortune, grandpa Delroy DeBubbles, winds up dead!

Who could have executed such a dastardly plot on such a happy occasion? Was it Delroy’s second wife, Babette DeBubbles? Or perhaps the head winemaker for the rival LeCorque family, Monte Pulciano? Could it have been a disgruntled patron, like Reese Ling or employee, Mary Tage?

There’s only one way to find out - play Murder By Midnight! But hold onto your champagne because the killer could be YOU!

Several of the characters are assigned accents, which are all optional. The mystery is built to be played by 4-20+ characters, ANY of whom could be the murderer and each have gripping motives for murder. **Additional guests can play along as “detectives” who ask questions each round and guess the killer at the end!
Babette DeBubbles	Delroy's Second, very young, Wife. She's American with a southern accent.
Destin DeBubbles	Delroy's eldest son and heir to the DeBubbles fortune. Speaks with a French accent.
Papa LeCorque	Rival Champagne producer whose crop was recently destroyed in a fire. Speaks in a heavy French accent.
Pro Secco	Organized Crime Boss and friend of the LeCorque family. British accent.
Sylvie Yung Blanc	A wealthy wine investor with a huge stake in the DeBubbles business. American accent, upper class Californian.
Monte Pulciano	Head winemaker for the LeCorque winery. Italian accent.
Shannon Blanc	Unruly daughter of Sylvie Blanc who'd rather be anywhere else for NYE. American, valley girl.
Reese Ling	A member of the DeBubbles wine club who's planning her wedding on the estate.
Sherry Raz	Event manager for the DeBubbles estate. French accent.
Rose Spritzer	Delroy's mistress. German accent.
Frank Cabernet	Delroy's driver and confidant. French accent.
Peter Verdot	Winery bookkeeper. French accent.
Molly Beck	Wine insurance broker. American accent.
Kira Anti	Babette's Sister. Loves Champagne a little too much. Southern accent.
Brut Secco	Wine storage stocker. Works in the warehouse and keeps to himself. British accent.
Ivan Gris	Top wine sales representative. French. Mary Tage Tasting Room Manager. French accent.
Demi Seck	The DeBubbles head winemaker. French accent.
Vito Vinifera	A journalist from Food and Champagne Magazine. American accent.

Wonderful Time

This was a great experience. We were able to play all evening. I look forward to doing this again with my family and friends.

I did think I could tell where the murderer was reading from. Perhaps a 2 column format woudld be better in the booklets
