The Story

It’s 1928, and the birth of the talking picture has turned Hollywood on its ear.  That is until famed silent movie star Sly Mandrake turns up dead on the set of his latest picture THE SINGING SHEIK.  What seems to be a tragic accident now looks more and more like a Hollywood hit job.  Who could have bumped off this heartthrob of the silver screen?

Could it have been controlling director Burly Bellows, frustrated with Mandrake’s lack of elocution?  Or was it his vengeful scene-stealing scene partner, emerging starlet Nettie Potts?  Was it famed LA mobster Hoochie Coodilinni, or could it have been Mandrake’s scorned lover Zelda Pinchbottom?

Pour yourself a glass of giggle water and do the Bunny Hug in this legendary Jazz Age whodunit, TERROR IN TINSELTOWN.

Appropriate for ages 16+!

Mentions of alcohol, drugs, cursing, sexual references, sex work, capital punishment

Such a great time, already planning the next one!

My friends and I had an absolute blast with the "Terror in Tinseltown" murder mystery. The guests were a mixed crew, including some professional performers as well as others who hadn't set foot on stage since the days of school plays, but everyone leaned in and had the best time, including some ridiculous improv. My friends already want to do another mystery night, so I'll likely purchase a membership. Special thanks to Broadway Murder Mystery's superstar client relations rep, Summer, who put up with my thousand questions. Fantastic customer service!

I saw the digital game on Amazon and knew I had to get the physical kit! We just had the best private party playing this one. Now I feel obligated to buy more kits for summer time lol

Okay, but can we talk about how awesome this game is? It's like putting together a puzzle while trying to catch a killer. So much fun!

As a theater enthusiast, I was thrilled to discover Broadway Murder Mysteries. The attention to detail in the kits is impressive, and the game was both challenging and entertaining. Looking forward to trying more of their games!
